SA offers prayers to Nigerian president

The international relations department on Thursday offered its

prayers to ailing Nigerian president Musa Yar’ Adua.

“In this connection we extend our prayers for his speedy recovery

and reaffirm our confidence in Nigeria’s democracy and its leadership,” a

departmental statement said.

Yar’ Adua had spent nearly a month in a hospital in Jeddah, Saudi

Arabia. The Nigerian government recently said Yar’ Adua was recovering. However,
