SA trio gets own reality show

2012-02-16 06:55

Three of South Africa’s finest bachelors will star in a reality show with the tagline “Get Busy Living”.

Forever Young, which starts in March, will see actor Thomas Gumede, TV personality Lungile Radu and Vuzu presenter Siya Ngwekazi “follow their heart and live in the moment in pursuit of their big dreams”.

Says Rhythm City actor Radu: “When I came up with the concept, it was all about changing the game – realising my dreams as a producer and director, and at the same time raising the bar in the entertainment industry by putting out a show that can compete internationally, both in terms of its quality as well as its entertainment factor.”

Radu is joined by Ngwekazi, who has hosted everything from Street Journal to The Real Goboza, V Entertainment and Top Shayela.

“I hope the show exposes, inspires and even upsets people. I want to shake the minds of the young and old folk of South Africa,” says Ngwekazi.

Completing the trio is Gumede, who has done both acting and comedy, including playing the role of Siphiwe in A Place Called Home and appearing in Bay Of Plenty, Backstage, Home Affairs and Soul City.

“Forever Young has proved to me that all you need is a dream and a team and you can make anything happen. Get busy living,” he says.

Forever Young starts on Friday, March 9, at 7pm on Vuzu, DStv Channel 123.
