SAA to offer 24-hour World Cup service

2010-01-06 10:56

Airline company South African Airways (SAA) has announced plans to

run a 24-hour operation during the World Cup this year.

SAA spokesperson Azure Janneker said the airline was working with

Match – the official provider of tickets, accommodation and logistics for the

World Cup – to assist with transport.

“No decision has been finalised on whether SAA will receive

additional aircraft or personnel,” Janneker said.

Janneker said tickets would be priced according to the same pricing

structure currently offered.

Last month, SAA and Match signed a co-operation agreement to

provide 45 000 return flights for Match customers to fly between Johannesburg,

Durban and Cape Town.
