Security officers in steamy sex tape get the boot

2011-08-13 15:50

A female cop and a male prison warder have been fired after a filmed sexcapade went public.

The video was made while they were on night duty and in full uniform at a government hospital.

In the 17-minute explicit video footage, the two officers can clearly be seen in a room at Leratong Hospital in Krugersdorp on Gauteng’s West Rand.

Voices, presumably of hospital staff members, can be heard in the background.

At one point the officers are disturbed by a person outside the room and they hastily button up.

The man attends to the unwelcome intruder before going back to the room a few minutes later to resume the sex session.

The female cop, a police reservist, is wearing a wedding ring and the prison warden doesn’t remove his service pistol and handcuffs.

On the video, it appears that it was the warder who set up the recording and that the female cop wasn’t aware the encounter was being videotaped.

According to police sources, the video was widely circulated after the warder had sent it to a friend.

The video is apparently the talk of the town in Kagiso – where the presumably married female cop lives – and surrounding areas.

Attempts by City Press to speak to cops at the Kagiso police station were met with cautious laughter. Staff at the station referred this reporter to a police spokesperson.

Gauteng police spokesperson Tshisikhawe Ndou confirmed the incident, saying that it had happened a few weeks earlier and later came to the attention of the authorities.

“It took place at the Leratong Hospital, where the two officers were doing night duty and performing guard duties for their respective departments,” he said.

Ndou didn’t divulge the name of the cop except to say she worked as a reservist in Kagiso.

“Disciplinary proceedings were instituted and she was summarily dismissed in the process,” Ndou said.

He said drastic action would be taken against such conduct.

Correctional services spokesperson Phumlani Ximiya admitted knowing about the sex tape and said steps were being taken against the warder.

“The official has subsequently been suspended and he’s to face a disciplinary hearing that’s expected to be finalised this month,” Ximiya said.

Meanwhile, the warder has tendered his resignation but is expected to serve his notice, in line with the correctional services department’s labour regulations.
