Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim Shakes Mashaba has announced the starting XI that will take on Mali in an international friendly match today.

The clash will be played at the Stade Monédan in Libreville, Gabon. The match kicks off at 4pm (South African time).

Mashaba has made six changes to the team that played to a 1-1 draw against Cameroon in an international friendly match on Saturday.

Jackson Mabokgwane gets his first start in a Bafana Bafana jersey ahead of Brilliant Khuzwayo, who was in goals against Cameroon while Darren Keet was first choice against Zambia.

Siyabonga Nhlapho, the only newcomer at the back, has been given a run at right back while Anele Ngcongca moves to central defence alongside Thulani Hlatshwayo. Thabo Matlaba has retained his place at left back.

Rivaldo Coetzee has been rested as he is nursing a knee injury.

Dean Furman and captain of the match, Andile Jali, keep their positions in the middle of the park with Thuso Phala and Mandla Masango taking over on the wings in place of Themba Zwane and Oupa Manyisa.

Bongani Ndulula returns to the lead the attack along with Sibusiso Vilakazi, who came on from the bench to equalise against Cameroon. Striker Bernard Parker starts on the bench while Tokelo Rantie is not in the matchday squad due to injury.

Defender Ayanda Gcaba, who has been called up as a replacement for the injured Patrick Phungwayo, has already joined his compatriots in camp in Libreville. He will start from the bench.

South Africa and Mali are using the match to prepare for Afcon 2015, which starts on Saturday and runs until February 8.
