Sharks name Twickenham side

2011-03-23 12:49

The Sharks today named their side that will take on the Crusaders in London on Sunday and, as expected, coach John Plumtree made only one change to his starting line-up from the previous week.

This will be the first Super Rugby match to be staged in the northern hemisphere.

As for the change in personnel, Jacques-Louis Potgieter will be earning his first start at flyhalf ahead of the injured Pat Lambie.

Lambie fractured a finger in last week’s match against the Chiefs in Hamilton.

On the bench no less than three previously injured players – tighthead prop Eugene van Staden, lock Gerhard Mostert and Springbok wing JP Pietersen – will make their return.

With John Smit captaining the side at loosehead prop, Plumtree decided not to include a reserve hooker and will therefore have two frontrowers in Van Staden and Tendai Mtawarira at his disposal.
