Jacaranda FM has a spa and a gym inside their new home in Midrand. Jaw drop!

Quite an upgrade from what I hear about the old shack with leaking roofs and a broken toilet seat.

Having moved from their previous offices, as DJ Rian van Heerden put it “this is amazing”.

The purple radio building might as well smell of new paint.

As I arrive at the new premises, I am driven from the parking bay to the entrance, which would have been a two-minute walk.

A bit OTT, I thought.

Then I’m greeted by a Graham Beck Brut, not bad for an eco-friendly bubbly.

The first round of speeches were delivered outside by the stairs.

And then the party moved to the foyer, where some more talk happened before we toured the new building.

A little note to the CEO, Mr Kevin Fine, the long speeches are not cute at all.

This was a celebration and even at the Emmy Awards they keep to 40 seconds.

While I shuffled about, I spotted business mogul Given Mkhari, whose navy pinstripe suit screamed for a tight fitting.

Anyone with a Palse Homme business card? I hear they make the best tailored suits around.

Also there was Faye Peters of the soon-to-end The Wild, in her trademark bush of curly hair.

She looked casual and spotted brown Louis Vuitton sneakers matched with a brown Louis Vuitton Monogram leather wristband and a ring to match.

She might as well be their brand ambassador.

She spent some time with fellow actors Michelle Bradshaw and Zakeeya Patel, who couldn’t stop telling me about her latest venture.

A blast from the past was Adrian Alper of Streaks fame.

He is now a publicist and wants to get back into TV.

I pigged out on the waffles and the junk that filled the breakfast table.

Okay, not to be mean, they had breakfast wraps and some chicken pregos.

If I do get sick, I’m sending the bill to the radio station and I can recuperate in their spa.

After all, like their welcoming sign says: Lekker.
