A 51-year-old man has been shot and killed while driving out of a friend’s driveway in Zondi, Soweto, say Gauteng police.

The man, believed to be a chairperson of a taxi association, was allegedly shot and killed by two men today, said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela.

Makhubela said live ammunition from an R5 rifle, 10 empty R5 cartridges and four empty 9mm cartridges were found at the scene.

The motive for the killing is unknown and the men are still at large.
