Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi does not know if he will still be at the helm of the Super Eagles when the next round of Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers begins next month.

After gaining their first point in two matches, the Super Eagles are third in their qualifying group and will need to improve dramatically if they are to book a place at next year’s tournament in Morocco.

However, Keshi said he would sit down with his employers when he got back to Nigeria to discuss his future. Keshi, who led Nigeria to last year’s Afcon championship, was recalled for the opening two matches.

“I am not sure what will happen when I get home but obviously we are going to have discussions and take it from there,” said Keshi, after his team played to a goalless draw with Bafana Bafana last night.

He said he was happy with how the team responded after their shocking 3-2 loss to Congo-Brazzaville at home on Saturday. He said it was an improved performance and said the team was showing signs of regaining their form.

“We have not been together for three months and it showed against Congo but tonight we played much better. Hopefully we will be at our best when we play Sudan next month.”
