Super 15: Brumbies score late win over Cheetahs

2012-03-10 07:43

Canberra, Australia – Christian Lealiifano’s fourth penalty of the match after the siren sounded gave the ACT Brumbies a 24-23 win over South Africa’s Cheetahs in Super 15 rugby today.

Scrumhalf Tewis de Bruyn scored a try two minutes into the second half to give the Cheetahs an expanded lead after the South Africans were ahead 13-10 at halftime.

But the Brumbies, 2-0 after an early-season bye, chipped away at the lead and took advantage of a penalty off a scrum feed as the clock ticked down to eke out the late win.
