TV guide: Sexy crime fighters are back

2011-06-03 14:35

After a cliffhanger end to the last season, CSI: Miami is back on the small screen and couch investigators will be gleefully rubbing their palms in anticipation.

The beautiful people of Miami with their tanned skin, gleaming teeth and stunning beach bodies never get tired. Even bloody and gore-filled scenes are gorgeously styled in this TV series, making it one of the slickest productions.

I mean, women investigators attend to crime scenes in high heels and white slim pants!

But the best part about CSI: Miami is undoubtedly the cool-as-breath-mint boss, Lieutenant Horatio Caine, played by David Caruso.

With many of the CSI: Miami team left lying unconscious on the floor after a game of cat and mouse between them and a serial killer, viewers will finally get to know if they are about to lose one of the good guys and what Caine will have to say about it.

The ginger-haired detective is the king of the one-liners, which he delivers with aplomb while donning his trendy aluminium shades.

Here are some of his memorable one-liners:

» When a mobster starts terrorising the city at the same time as a tornado is about to hit, Caine says to Detective Sergeant Frank Tripp: “Frank, a wave is not the only thing about to hit Miami.”

» When a woman is killed after taking part in 15 speed dates:
“Well, you know what they say, speed kills.”

» After a body is discovered on a boat: “Looks like we have a sinking crime here.”
Detective: “So where does this leave us?”

Caine: “Up a tree.”

» Sniper: “Don’t you want to know why I did it?”

Caine: “You killed four innocent people. You’re evil. You enjoy death. I hope you enjoy your own.”

» When asked the story behind a car accident: “Man hits car, there’s your story.”

» About a suspect: “He’s a liar. I just don’t know what the lie is yet.”

» Frank: “Talk too much you’ll get the Colombian neck tie.”

Caine: “See too much, and you’ll never see again.”

» About a dead person: “Bag it, tag it, and let’s see what else is here.”

»  CSI: Miami starts on Tuesday at 8.30pm on M-Net
