Some of the weirdest shows on TV are also the easiest to get hooked on

1. Unbeatable Banzuke

Sony Max

Wednesday, Friday and

Saturday 7.30am

Most game shows from Japan are weird (see I Survived a Japanese Game show and Banzai). Unbeatable Banzuke, though, is in league of its own. Contestants participate in series of strange obstacle courses on bicycles or stilts. The best part about the show is the excitable host and watching the facial expressions when they fail.

2. 1 000 Ways To Die

Sony Max

Weekdays 8.30pm

This show is for anyone obsessed with death. The series follows the stories of people who have all died in strange ways. The show
demonstrates each scenario, from suffocation (by a snake, no less) to explosions, decapitations and electrocutions. There are experts and 3D graphics to help explain the science of death. Weird yet riveting, no?

3. Street Court

Zone Reality

Tuesday to Saturday

Forget about Judge Judy or Judge Mathis. The only judge who matters is Judge Mazz. This guy takes to the streets to the actual scene of a dispute. It doesn’t get any more comical than watching
the judge check out car dents to determine who was wrong or right. He brings new meaning to “hands on”.

4. MANswers

Sony Max

Weekdays at 11pm

Are you a man? Do you have soul-burning questions like: why do bad girls get married easier than good girls? If a woman had GG
breasts, would she fall over? What’s the hardest day of the year to score with a babe? How many elevator farts would it take to kill
you? How can a toilet save a man’s life? You get it. The answers are all provided on this irreverent show.

5. Bridalplasty

E! Entertainment

Brides-to-be compete in challenges to earn plastic surgery procedures in a quest to win their ultimate dream wedding. The
downside is that there is a chance that by the end of the competition the groom might not recognise the bride. The amazing thing is these women are actually beautiful, but vanity is
stange like that. They want perfection.
