Tongue in Cheek

Tuesdays, 8.30pm

Radio and TV personality Anele Mdoda returns to primetime television as the host of talk show Tongue in Cheek.

Taking its cue from The Talk in the US, the local version includes controversial and serious topics, with a dash of light-hearted discussion, entertainment and pop culture.

The panel will include socialite Carolyn Steyn (wife of insurance mogul Douw Steyn); model and TV presenter Shashi Naidoo, who will do red carpet coverage and inserts as a “roving” reporter; and Michael de Pinna, who is best known as the leopard-skin-wearing yuppie in Vodacom’s TV commercials.

Shot and recorded in a posh house in Joburg, a featured local celebrity will visit the set each week.

There is something for everyone in this hour-long, 13-part show, including gossip, and titbits about fashion, fitness and health.
