Get into the weekend vibe with megastar Beyoncé’s video countdown. At 5pm, don’t miss a special edition of 5 At 5 dedicated to Queen Bee. The shows continue through Saturday and Sunday. At MTV Base’s MTV ­Essentials (Saturday, 10am), Beyoncé is pitted against Rihanna to determine who is the most influential woman in music.

A struggling car mechanic wins a few dice games. ­Under the pretence of a thriving business, he spoils his family and lives above his means until his luck changes and he bets with a ­notorious taxi owner’s car. Now in danger, he needs to come clean with his family.

The Fast and the Furious

A cop goes undercover to infiltrate a street-racing crew and bust a hijacking ring in this 2001 classic. He starts to become friends with the gang and, charmed by the lifestyle, must decide where his loyalties lie. Starring Vin Diesel and the now late Paul Walker.

Gog’ Helen

Gog’ Helen was living a ­simple, quiet life until her granddaughter threw away her mattress, which had all Gog’ Helen’s life savings. Now the two go on a hunt for the mattress, but ruthless people are trailing not far ­behind them. Tasteless, but hilarious. Watch it.
