Thandani Ntshumayelo gears up for MTN8 final

Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo is available for selection to be part of the squad that will take on Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 Cup final tomorrow.

Ntshumayelo resumed full training on Wednesday morning at Rand Stadium but the club’s medical team said the player was 80% fit, and his inclusion was subject to his progress in the days leading to the match.

The hard-working midfielder said he was prepared to play against Amakhosi in the R8 million winner-takes-all final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

“I trained well – no pain; I’m okay. I must take it easy for now. I did normal training, but because of the problem, I had to take it easy. Everything is okay, I feel no pain,” said Ntshumayelo.

A medical report revealed that there was no tear on the thigh muscle after Ntshumayelo sustained the injury during Pirates’ league clash against Bidvest Wits last Saturday. He was substituted in the first half.
