The Fix: Former Idols winner goes Royal

2011-05-24 10:14

Just when we thought Idols winner Jason Hartman has faded from the proverbial spotlight, it appears we were very wrong.

The former Idols winner, who was flung into the spotlight when the wrong winner, Sasha-Lee Davids, was announced two years ago, has landed himself butt first in the butter.

Hartman will not only be singing at the opening of the Grand Prix in Monaco this week, the Durban boy will also be singing at the wedding of Prince Albert II and South African Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock.

The Break the Silence and On The Run singer will perform with his band at the gala dinner at the Monaco Opera House on July 2, where various international celebrities and dignitaries will be in attendance.

“I am incredibly honoured to have been invited not only to sing at the wedding, but to write a song for the prince and princess of Monaco’s first dance,” said Hartman.
