Tiger’s not out of the Woods yet

2009-12-06 09:08

THERE seems to be no end to the stories of the bedroom antics that

have landed golfer Tiger Woods in so much trouble.

Yesterday news surfaced that Woods had help cheating on his wife,

Elin Nordegren.

A report on TMZ.com said his childhood friend, Bryon Bell,

president of Woods’ golf course design company, Tiger Woods Design, had

purchased a plane ticket for Rachel Uchitel to secretly join Woods in Australia

last month.

Bell used a credit card to book the ticket, according to TMZ.com.

He also booked a room for Uchitel in Melbourne while Woods was there to compete

in the Australian Masters, which he won.

It also emerged that Woods took prescription drugs to boost his sex

life with her.

Woods and Nordegren were apparently fighting about his affair

with Uchitel before the golfer was in a controversial car crash last Friday

outside his Florida mansion.

A voicemail Woods left for another woman, Jaimee Grubbs, has also

surfaced. Grubbs came forward earlier this week to say she had a 31-month affair

with the sports star. She told her story to US Weekly after reading claims in

the National Enquirer that Woods had a secret tryst with Uchitel last month.

‘‘To see that he was inviting another girl to Australia, it hurts. I’m still

bitter about it.”

On Thursday a third woman, Kalika Moquin, denied reports that she

was intimate with Woods but a source told US magazine that she was lying.

‘‘She was absolutely sleeping with him,” the insider said. “She

brags about it.”

Woods was accused of negotiating a million-dollar payoff to

silence Uchitel. The 34-year-old has adamantly denied having an affair with

Woods though reports suggested she was considering revealing details of their

Uchitel was named as Woods’s mistress in US tabloid the National

Enquirer last week, days before his accident.

She is said to have saved “hundreds” of SMSes that Woods supposedly

sent to her during their alleged five-month relationship.

Woods apologised to his family and supporters on his website on

Wednesday, admitting to “personal sins” and letting down Nordegren and their two

He and Nordegren (29), a former Swedish model, have reportedly

started marriage counselling. The Chicago Sun-Times claimed the golfer had

already agreed to pay his wife $5?million (about R37?million) not to walk out of

their marriage and that the two were renegotiating their prenuptial agreement.

Meanwhile, speculation has grown that more women are likely to come

forward with claims they had flings with the golfer.

Woods is a regular have accused him of affairs. – Staff reporter
