Traffic info for Soweto derby

Traffic will be diverted on roads around the FNB Stadium for the Soweto soccer derby tomorrow.

JMPD Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said Nasrec Road would be closed between Rand Show Road and the N17.

Barricades will also be erected on the Soweto Highway between Mentz Road and the N1.

Rand Show Road will be closed between Nasrec Road and Aerodrome Road.

The roads will be closed from noon to 7pm.

“No private cars will be allowed to pass control points. We advise fans to use public transport,” said Minnaar.

He said vehicles found parked illegally at the stadium would be impounded.

“Vehicles that are parked illegally at the stadium will be impounded and owners will have to pay R2 240 for their vehicles to be released,” said Minnaar.

The match between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs is scheduled to start at 3.30pm tomorrow.
