Two more arrested in sex probe

2010-07-28 10:03

Two more women have been arrested for being part of an alleged human trafficking network at a club near Welkom in the Free State, police said today.

They were arrested by the Hawks, a special investigative unit within the police, at the White House night club in Thabong, said Sergeant Mmako Mophiring.

They allegedly passed the takings of sexual activities in 15 rooms in the establishment to owner Daniel Rune, who was out on R10 000 bail following his arrest earlier in July. Investigators also took away two boxes of condoms.

The women were expected to appear in the Welkom Magistrates Court later today.

The arrests started when the Hawks raided clubs that featured strip shows.
