Two boys, aged three and two, have been stabbed during a robbery in Dobsonville, Soweto.
“We had an incident last night. There was a house robbery in Dobsonville Extension 3,” Gauteng police spokesperson Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said today.
“During the robbery two kids were stabbed. One was two years old. He was stabbed three times in his head, and the other child, three years old, he was stabbed eight times.”
The children were taken to hospital for treatment, though further information on their condition was not available this morning.
The robbers stole electrical appliances from the house where the children were.
The robbery happened around midnight. Two robbers were believed to be involved, Makhubela said.
No arrests had been made.
Police were investigating a case of house robbery and attempted murder.
