Very noble of Kate and William to invite ‘exes’

2011-04-16 18:28

If you want a divorce on your wedding day, just invite your previous girlfriends to the wedding.

Except if you are Prince William, who will be the king of England one day.

To make matters worse, the noble prince has had no fewer than eight previous loves.Being invited must have been a surprise for the girls.

When the mother of Carly Massy-Birch, one of the former girlfriends, asked her if she expected to be invited to the wedding, she replied: “Of course not.

Would you have invited all of dad’s former girlfriends?”Apart from Carly, William’s former loves are: Davina, now married and a mother of twins;

Rose Farquhar, a singer; Natalie, now married and mother to a boy; Arabella Musgrave, a fashion-world PRO in high heels;

Anna Sloan, a rich American blonde, now an interior decorator in Britain;

Jecca Craig, a holiday romance during the prince’s gap year before he went to university;

and Olivia Hunt, known for her pretty body and clothes, and who wants to become a literary agent.Middleton, on the other hand, only had two boyfriends and she and William invited them too.

They are William Marx (28), a journalist, and Rupert Finch (32), a lawyer who is “safely” married.

Middleton also invited her town’s butcher, the postman and the people from the corner shop.

Unlike Queen Elizabeth, who received 2 500 gifts at her November 20 1947 wedding to Prince Philip, and Prince Charles and Lady Diana who got 6 000 gifts, William and Middleton informed their guests on the invitations that they do not want gifts.

But donations to charities would be welcomed – William is the patron of 23 charity organisations.
