When will SA rise up?

Egypt should serve as a lesson to all those who want to remain in power forever.

The ANC should consider itself fortunate that South Africa does not have the same politically conscious people as those in Tunisia and Egypt who are ready to topple their despotic rulers.

The ANC has become complacent and arrogant. That is why it is easy for some of its leaders to declare that they will remain in power until the second coming of Christ and that a vote for the ANC is a ticket to heaven.

I am one of those South Africans looking forward to the day when thousands of us march on the Union Buildings to demand a regime change.

I hope I will live long enough to see the long overdue regime change in South Africa. I certainly do not want to wait for another 13 years for the ANC to match Hosni Mubarak’s 30-year rule in Egypt.
