2012-02-15 13:24

Los Angeles – Whitney Houston “really wanted to see Jesus” in the days before her death, it has been reported.

The music icon was found dead in a hotel room last Saturday after allegedly overdosing on prescription medication and it has now been claimed Whitney was seeking spiritual guidance in the lead up to her shock passing.

According to TMZ.com, the singer told friends she “really wanted to see Jesus” and said she “felt like her time was coming”.

The troubled star – who has an 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown – had also been quoting Bible passages and had several discussions about the after-life with her closest confidants and family members.

According to the gossip website, after performing Yes, Jesus Loves Me at Tru nightclub in Hollywood last Friday night she told on her pals, “I’m gonna go see Jesus ... I want to see Jesus”.

Whitney’s funeral is to take place on Saturday.

Her body will be laid to rest at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, at midday local time.

Her body was flown into Teterboro airport yesterday and driven to the Whingham Funeral Home in a gold hearse.

Carolyn Whingham, from the funeral home – which also dealt with the passing of Whitney’s father – stated only those with invites would be able to attend the service.
