ZCC man jumps security wall to warn Malema’s gran of ‘assassination plan’

A Limpopo man, dressed in ZCC uniform, is expected to appear in court after allegedly entering the home of EFF Commander in Chief Julius Malema’s grandmother – to tell her the ANC was plotting to assassinate him.

It is alleged the man (50), dressed in ZCC khakhi uniform and a badge, stormed into the Seshego home of Malema’s grandmother after climbing over the security wall, and woke her up.

When she asked how he got into the house and what he was doing, he told her that he had been informed by angels of God that he had to come pray for Malema because the ANC was planning to assassinate him.

City Press has learned that the frightened pensioner informed Malema about the incident.

Malema, who was driving to Baby Jake Matlala’s funeral in Joburg, had to make a U-turn to Limpopo.

The man was taken to Seshego Police Station. Limpopo police spokesperson Ronel Otto confirmed the incident and said the suspect was charged with trespassing and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday. She said police were trying to establish whether he was mentally challenged.

Malema has confirmed that he had aborted his trip to Matlala’s funeral and that he was rushing to Limpopo to investigate.

Malema said: “I was on my way to Matlala’s funeral when I got a call that there is a ZCC man who jumped the security wall and got into my granny’s house and told her that God or the angels of God sent him to tell her that there is plot by the ANC to assassinate me. I advised them to call the police and they have taken him to Seshego Police Station for questioning,” he said.
