Zuma appoints Reserve Bank directors

President Jacob Zuma has appointed two new non-executive directors to the board of the SA Reserve Bank, the Presidency said today.

Zuma’s spokesperson Mac Maharaj said Maureen Makole Manyama-Matome and Tania Ajam were appointed for a period of three years.
Manyama-Matome is a chartered accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

She is currently the chief financial officer of the SA Forestry Company.

Ajam is a public finance economist. She holds a BA (Hons) in economics from the University of Cambridge as well as Master of Business Science and Bachelor of Business Science degrees from the University of Cape Town.

She had extensive experience in the design, analysis and implementation of fiscal policy, Maharaj said in a statement.
