President Jacob Zuma plans to meet media owners on Friday for consultations on a range of issues, his office said today.

“President Zuma will lead the government delegation in the meeting,” a statement said.

They would discuss the government’s New Growth Path, media development and diversity, promotion of Brand SA and government marketing.

Dubbed a “summit“, it would be attended by chairpersons and chief executives of print and electronic media companies, led by Print Media SA chairman Prakash Desai; and Karen Willenberg, the chairperson of the National Association of Broadcasters.
