99% Zulu: All-local line-up at comedy show at the Golden Horse

2010-03-17 00:00

ONE of the most trusted names in the South African comedy circuit, the 99% Zulu Comedy Show opens its KZN calendar with an all-local line-up at the Golden Horse Casino in Pietermaritzburg. Returning with its first KZN installment on Sunday March 21, this popular show celebrates an all-local talent in Sthe Khumalo, Sifiso Nene, Arnotte Payne and Felix Hlophe (pictured) with Celeste Ntuli directing the programme.

“We have tirelessly worked very hard to develop comedy nationally and especially in KZN over the years. The time to test the fruits of our work has come by staging this all-local line-up”, said the producer, Monwabisi Grootboom.

Celeste Ntuli, after having been staged repeatedly by the 99% Zulu Comedy, has proven to be an all-time favourite in Maritzburg. This will be the very first show she will host in the city. Headlining the show will be another favourite comic, Felix Hlophe. He is one of KZN’s most popular comedians, and has performed at events across the province.

The show starts at 8 pm and people are urged to arrive early as the show will kick off promptly on time. “… People should do all they can to pre-book their seats …” said Grootboom. Tickets are available at the Golden Horse and people can call: 033 395 8137.
