A double whammy

2010-11-06 00:00

JASON Hartman and Barry Hilton are heading to Pietermaritzburg for a night of magical music and comedy mayhem on November 19.

Last year’s Idols winner has enjoyed huge success during the past year, gigging up and down the country, opening for American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson and taking on his first big screen role in the e’Lollipop II.

Joining him at the Winston Churchill Theatre will be his band, which includes his brother Scott on drums and vocals and his father Sam on guitar and vocals.

Hilton, aka The Cousin, is preparing to give his fans a real treat with his new show Fresh Catch, in which he dishes up hilarious impressions and observations on a host of social, political and family issues.

The show is inspired by the comedian’s new-found passion for fishing and enjoying the great outdoors, and includes “Throw Me A Line” segment.

One of South Africa’s best-known and popular entertainers, Hilton brings the house down whenever he stands on stage and is the only South African comedian who regularly sells out 4 000-seater venues with his show.

Doors open at 6 pm and the show gets under way at 6.45 pm on November 19.

Tickets are available from Computicket or from Jackie at 076 938 0365. Booking is essential as seats are limited. There is a 10% discount on group bookings of 10 people and more.
