2008-10-14 00:00

WELLINGTON Chidido of Mr Price won the Goss and Balfe Scottburgh-to-Toti marathon on the weekend in 2 hours 23 minutes 10 seconds, an impressive time given the challenging conditions.

Boxer’s Iris Ndlovu, Eskom’s Sindy Jali and Sibongile Ziqbubu of Run Walk for Life were in sight of each other for most of the women’s race, which was the tightest competition of the day.

In the half-marathon, Boxer’s Shingie Budza crossed the line in 69 min 38sec. Lise Muchna was unchallenged in the women’s race.

In Pietermaritzburg, Elmore Sibanda was dominant in the Swift Hullet Aluminium half-marathon from Camp’s Drift.
