ANC, DA and IFP leaders will all be in KZN today

2009-04-14 00:00

The paths of the leaders of the three major parties participating in the upcoming election may well cross as their campaigns bring them to Pietermaritzburg and Durban today.

ANC president Jacob Zuma’s three day whirlwind campaign tour of KZN reaches the midlands. He will visit various communities, including Manqongqo in Mkhambithini and Vulindlela in Edendale, and participate in an ANC mini-rally in the midlands, before attending a dinner in Durban.

IFP president Mangosuthu Buthelezi will bring his party’s “Sizonqoba” [we will win] campaign — the IFP’s final election drive in KwaZulu-Natal — to Pietermartizburg today. The IFP “Sizonqoba” convoy will start its campaign blitz from the city’s CBD at 10 am.

DA leader Helen Zille is also in the province today and her last public address in KZN before the election will take place in the Westville Civic Centre, starting at 6 pm. For more information contact James Pryor on 082 420 5066.
