ANC: Funeral for Mbili to be held on july 22

THE funeral for ANC MP Mandla Mbili, who died in a car crash outside Durban on Tuesday evening, will be held on Sunday, July 22.

A memorial service would take place at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre on the Friday, two days before the funeral.

Mbili leaves 10 children between the ages of 27 and three.

Mkhize described Mbili as “a seriously committed comrade”, and said his family was taking his death “quite heavily”.

Mbili served on the portfolio committee on finance and the standing committee on public accounts.

His death follows that of Hibiscus Coast councillor Wandile Mkhize, who was shot dead outside his home in Manaba near Margate.

He is alleged to have lost control of his 4x4 vehicle on the N2 near Lamontville outside Durban.
