2010-04-21 00:00

A NEWBORN baby girl who was left for dead is recovering in a Durban hospital.

Glenda du Randt and her son Neil were walking in a park in Sunningdale, in Durban North, when they heard the infant crying.

Du Randt told The Witness that Neil found the new born lying in long grass.

“The baby was naked and still had its umbilical cord and placenta attached to its body. It was also covered in ants.”

The baby was taken to Netcare Umhlanga Hospital.
