About Face: artists ‘mirror art’

Pietermaritzburg painter, Siyabonga Sikosana, is one of 12 artists whose work can be seen in the main exhibition hall at the Tatham Art Gallery. His work forms part of the portrait exhibition, About Face: 12 Artists – 84 Portraits, which runs until November 6. Each of the artists taking part in the exhibition — Sue Physick, Sikosana, Emmanuel Khumalo, ­Annette McMaster, Moray Comrie, Eva Banach, Jo Trickett, Renee Leslie, ­Kobie Venter, Floris van Zyl, Bheki Khambule and Lotz herself — has completed a self-portrait, as well as portraits of the other artists, and these different images are being hung side by side.
