Adam Lambert picks Delazy

2012-10-25 00:00

KWAZULU-NATAL artist Toya Delazy has been confirmed as the supporting act for American musician Adam Lambert during the latter’s South African tour.

The announcement was made by Big Concerts yesterday. John Langford, chief operating officer at Big Concerts, told The Witness he is happy with the news.

He said the company spoke to a couple of radio stations and selected a range of artists’ names which were sent to Lambert’s management. “They went through her profile and selected her.” After the announcement was made, Delazy, who is popular for her hit tracks like Love Is In The Air and Pump It On, tweeted: “Ok. Talking about inspiration delazians. ADAM LAMBERT wants me to open for him on his SA tour! Are we celebrating or what? #AfricaShine.”

Lambert will perform in Cape Town and Johannesburg next month.
