Affordable gifts at new, bigger Hospice

2007-12-18 00:00

THE Msunduzi Hospice has opened a bigger new shop at the Mayor’s Walk Mews shopping centre.

Income generation manager of Hospice, Judy Coghlan, said that Hospice has four shops that also form an integral part of their fundraising arm.

They are in Scottsville Mall, Hilton, Northdale and the Book Shop at the Hospice House in Prestbury.

The new shop boasts an extensive book area and has Christmas decorations, cards, gifts, gift-wrap, recipe books and birthday calendars in stock.

Coghlan said: “For the past 24 years, Hospice has been offering a free service to people facing death due to advancing disease. In order to sustain our service we are heavily reliant on monetary and in kind donations from the public of Pietermaritzburg and surrounds”.

Hospice relies on volunteers. An appeal is made to contact Hospice “if you have time on your hands that you could donate to assist in the many areas of Hospice”.
