Agang growing in KZN

2014-01-28 00:00

THE KwaZulu-Natal chapter of AgangSA says it has not allowed the impediment of limited resources to stand its way when mobilising for the elections.

Interim co-leader of the party in KZN, Mervin Govender, said AgangSA has no office in the province, but this had not stopped members from being vociferous about what the party means for South Africa. “It’s the last hope for South Africa,” he said.

Govender blamed the limited resources in KZN on the channelling of resources to mainly Gauteng and Eastern Cape, where the party has the most members. “We have about 2 000 members in KZN, so resources have been put where they are needed most.

“We are volunteers who give up our spare time to the party. We do not have an office yet. We are trying to get one before the elections, because our base is growing in KZN,” said Govender.

He said AgangSA has formed local organising committees at various municipalities, including the eThekwini Metro.
