Ajax: coaches sign until 2013

2011-06-24 00:00

CAPE TOWN — Ajax Cape Town have offered two-year extensions to Wilfred Mugeyi, Jan Pruijn and Max Grunewald as new head coach Maarten Stekelenburg takes up the reins ahead of the 2011-2012 season.

Assistant coach Mugeyi was delighted to extend his stay with the Urban Warriors and approved of the appointment of Stekelenburg.

He said: “This club is now like my home. I played here for three or four years and have now been assistant coach for almost four years. [Stekelenburg] is a good idea because it shows continuity as he has been with the club’s youth development.”
