Alleged drag racer shot by cops leaves hospital

2015-02-13 00:00

AAVISHKAR Sadanan, the alleged drag racer who was shot by police in a chase lasting more than half-an-hour, has been released from hospital.

Sadanan was released from Grey’s Hospital on Wednesday after spending eight days in hospital due to a bullet being lodged in his abdomen.

According to a family member who asked not to be named, doctors have decided to leave the bullet where it is as it is not causing any immediate harm.

Sadanan was wounded during a high-speed chase last Tuesday when police allegedly shot more than 18 bullets into his car as they sped through the city. He was eventually apprehended in Williams Street and taken to the hospital for treatment.
