AmaZulu: Club pulls madida’s contract

2013-03-12 00:00

AMAZULU assistant coach Fani Madida has parted ways with the club, according to its website.

It was confirmed yesterday that the club’s board had resolved to terminate Madida’s contract with immediate effect, although the directors confirmed they would honour the remaining months of his contract which was due to finish at the end of June this year.

The decision to release Madida relates to his troubled working relationship with head coach Craig Rosslee, who replaced Roger Palmgren earlier this year.

Said club PRO Philani Mabaso: “We had a technical team meeting yesterday where we were informed of the directors’ decision. The rest of the team was informed at training later in the day.’’

The club advised that no replacement had yet been appointed and that in the interim, the head coach would take complete charge of the team.

Madida joined AmaZulu in the 2010/11 season and the club thanked him for his services.
