Amblers to hike Table Mountain

THE Amblers Hiking Club is hiking the Table Mountain, outside Pietermaritzburg, tomorrow. Anyone wishing to join the hike should bring water bottles and a lunch. The hike is an easy, enjoyable 12 km walk.

On view are glacial scars, sunken forests, the crevasse, an underground stream, the wetland and the Natal Protea.

Drive to PMB turn off at Ohrtmann Road and turn right (north) over the N3. Turn right at the second traffic light and left at the second traffic light (all sign-posted “Table Mountain”). Turn right at the signpost to Table Mountain and drive 12 km to the end of the tar. Turn right immediately at the dirt road, drive to the mountain and park at the school alongside it.
