Amnesty: Overdue library books, music

2009-03-15 00:00

There will be a library amnesty for all overdue books and music items from today until Saturday, April 18.

Msunduzi Municipal library is urging users to return all outstanding material so other users can have the benefit of the material.

The amnesty is being introduced at the start of South African National Library Week.

Last week chief librarian John Morrison told members of the community services committee of the desperate shortage of books in the branch libraries. Librarians are hopeful that users will take advantage of the amnesty period as previous amnesties have resulted in large quantities of outstanding books and music being returned.
