Aviation body appoints new CE

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has appointed Captain Colin Jordaan as their new chief executive, the authority announced yesterday.

Jordaan, an aeronautical engineer, was previously general manager of flight operations at South African Airways, which he joined in 1980. He was responsible for managing 800 pilots, 2 100 cabin crew and 200 administrative staff.
