TWO men were assaulted in their Bazley home in the early hours of Wednesday morning when robbers broke in while they were sleeping.

One of the men suffered an injury to his head when he was struck with a metal pipe.

The other suffered bruises to his arms.

Five robbers gained entry to the house by smashing a glass sliding door.

They assaulted the victims and then fled with a plasma flatscreen TV, laptop and cellphone.

“The highly traumatised victims were taken to hospital for medical attention by private transport,” said police spokesperson Captain Vincent Pandarum.

A case of house robbery has been opened for investigation.
