'Bent': Gay and Lesbian Network to screen film

THE Gay and Lesbian Network in Pietermaritzburg is hosting a screening of the film Bent, starring Mick Jagger, Sir Ian McKellen and South Africa’s Brian Webber, at 7 pm on April 29 at The Butchery, 101 Roberts Road, Clarendon.

Adapted from Martin Sherman’s award-winning stage play, Bent tells the story of Max, a gay young man who, after a fateful tryst with a German soldier, is forced to run for his life and is eventually placed in a concentration camp.
