2010-03-03 00:00

FILM director Geoffrey Shar is in a serious but stable condition in St Anne’s Hospital after falling about 10 metres down a waterfall on a farm at Giants Castle in the Drakensberg on Monday afternoon.

The Cape Town director is said to have been filming near the waterfall in the Loteni area when he lost his footing, causing him to fall

Netcare 911 spokesman Jeff Wicks said Shar landed on the rocks at the foot of the falls and was pulled out by his crew members.

St Anne’s spokeswoman Shubnum Ismail confirmed Shar is at the hospital and that he is going to theatre today.
