Biking family in N3 collision

2010-04-27 00:00

A FATHER and his 22-year-old daughter riding pillion on one bike collided with a bike being ridden by his wife on another, at Lions River on the N3 at the weekend.

The mother and daughter suffered multiple scrapes and bruises, and were complaining of neck pain.

The father sustained minor injuries.

ER24 paramedics took the three to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment.

The family were returning from the Harley Davidson Rally in Margate at the weekend to their home in Tabazimbi.

The collision occured when they encountered roadworks on the highway.

It is thought that the road narrowed suddenly and other vehicles on the road failed to make way for them.

Both motorcycles were severely damaged.
