Body found on New Beach

2013-10-31 00:00

POLICE are trying to identify the partially decomposed body of a man that was found buried under the sand at New Beach yesterday.

They have since opened an inquest docket for investigation by Durban Central police.

The police believe that the man was washed out to sea and his body landed on the shoreline.

Spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane has appealed to anyone who might have information about missing persons to contact Durban Central police.

He said the man’s age is unknown as the body is partially decomposed.

“He was wearing a black Nike T-shirt and black trousers and has the letter ‘Q’ tattooed on his left shoulder,” Zwane added.
