‘Boer soek ’n vrou’ contestant found in the arms of another farmer's wife

BLOEMFONTEIN — Ludwig Oberholzer (36) one of the bachelor contestants in the popular kykNET series Boer Soek ‘n Vrou 2, (Farmer seeks a wife) was once caught with another farmer’s wife.

Rapport reported that the incident, about nine years ago, led to a punch-up between the farmers, court cases and even a shooting incident.

Oberholzer apparently took naked pictures of Karien Martinson, the attractive blonde who was at the time married to Eastern Cape farmer Pieter van Wyk.

They have since divorced.

Oberholzer claimed the Van Wyks had had marital problems when he had met Martinson.

Martinson, who now lives in Bloemfontein and is no longer involved with Oberholzer, said she had been unhappily married for five years before meeting Oberholzer. She believed her former husband was only being jealous.

But Van Wyk said he still clearly remembered the day when he received a phone call from a man saying he had been having an affair with his wife for five months. Afterwards, his wife moved to another house on the farm and they tried to work on their marriage. But one day Van Wyk found Oberholzer at his wife’s house.

Shots were fired, the police were called and Van Wyk was arrested.

It was also reported that Van Wyk said that not long after Karien Martinson moved to Bloemfontein with Ludwig Oberholzer, she found him in bed with another woman.

Oberholzer confirmed the affair, but said the broken marriage had nothing to do with him.
