THE Women’s Inter-Club Sanders trophy will be played on April 12 and 13. In the first round on Saturday afternoon, Maritzburg West play Maritzburg at Lynwood. Last year’s winners, Lynwood, are up against Wanderers at Maritzburg.

The winners will play each other on Sunday morning at Collegians. Also on Saturday afternoon Umgeni play Collegians at Howick. Last year’s runners-up, Howick, have a bye and play the winners of the Umgeni vs Collegians game at West on Sunday morning.

The final will be played on Sunday afternoon.

The Spec-Savers KZN Men’s Tournament committee request representatives from each club to attend a meeting today at 4 pm at the Maritzburg Bowling Club.

The Zurich/Perfect Delivery SA Men’s National will be hosted by Port Natal and will be played in Durban from April 5 to 13.

The playing format will be teams of four participating in singles, trips and fours disciplines. The singles and trips will be played on April 5 and 6, the fours on April 7 to 8 and the play-off and finals on April 10 to 13.

Natal Inland have seven entries with sides being skipped by Doug Robbertson (Hilton), Mike Andrew (Howick), Phillip Scholtz and Bradley Reichert (both Maritzburg), Sid Siebert and Larry Williams (Collegians) and Barry Earnshaw (Wanderers).

There will also be six teams from KZN Country, four teams from Kingfishers and 76 teams from Port Natal making up the number of 202 entries.
