Breaking bread at Spar

2014-05-20 00:00

The annual bread distribution by the Community Chest recently took place at Jonathan’s City Spar where 2 200 loaves of bread were generously donated by Kay Makan. Makan appeals to his customers throughout the year to donate towards his annual purchase of bread. This year, 17 welfare organisations were the recipients. Jonathan’s City Spar is also a partner in the community upliftment programme and makes the bread available at cost price.
